Hi there! Welcome to the second week of Member Recognition Mondays. Every month from August until February, we will be recognizing members from all over the district for their involvement and dedication to Circle K. This month, we asked the Lt. Governors to recognize members who have stayed active in Circle K during the summertime. This week, we are spotlighting members from Central Coast, Desert Oasis, and Foothill! Read about why their Lt. Governors nominated them below:

Central Coast: Alysha Cabarubias, UC Santa Barbara

She has been to many summer service events as well as chaired a summer social down by the beach!

Desert Oasis: Shawn Virani , UN Las Vegas

Shawn has been extremely active in recruiting new members for the club. He has also hosted a summer committee meeting and even hosted UNLV's Marinade summer social at his house. Despite it being summer, Shawn's dedication to CKI remains swole.

Foothill: Christine La, Cal Poly Pamona

Christine has been incredibly active from volunteering at Chino Kiwanis Summer Concerts to attending a hiking social with LA county schools. She has been an active role model within the organization and interacts with all schools with a positive and caring personality!

Thank you to these members for all of their involvement in Circle K during the summer! Make sure to congratulate them when you see them in person. Also, don’t forget to thank your fellow members that have stayed active in the summer and check back next week to see more members get recognized!

If you would like to nominate a returning member that inspires others to be involved in Circle K, go to bit.ly/September17MRM. The form will be open until 10PM on August 21.
