MR Mondays: Week 2, August 2019
August 12, 2019
Good Afternoon Sunny CNH!
Welcome to week two of August Member Recognition Mondays! This week we’ll be spotlighting the central divisions consisting of Central Coast, Desert Oasis, and Foothill! Start scrolling down to read more about these individuals!
🐢Central Coast Division🐢
Quan Vandinh, UC Santa Barbara
As an executive assistant, Quan has been doing an amazing job for his division. He has always been there to support and help his LTG and do beyond his duties as an executive assistant. Central Coast would not have reached their achievements without his passion and dedication. Despite his busy schedule of summer classes, he never sacrificed the quality of his leadership as Executive Assistant. Among the events he successfully helped plan the Central Coast’s July DCM, attended President’s Retreat as a representative in replace of his president and represented his L&R committee at July District Board Meeting. He has shown passion and care for his division which definitely deserves to be recognized.
Fun Fact: Quan is a fencer!
🌵Desert Oasis Division🌵
Angela Ichon, UN Las Vegas
Angela has continued to stay involved during the summer by trying to attend events that she can while also working hard to learn about her board duties as our newsletter chair. She’s been posting polls in her club’s open forum to put in UNLV’s newsletters and she’s published one newsletter already!
Fun Fact: She visits so many cafes to study.
🔥Foothill Division🔥
Natalie Lopez, Mt. San Antonio College
Natalie is the president of the Mt. San Antonio CKI club. Natalie has shown passion in finding service events for the Mt.Sac CKI club. This summer she has set up events and networked them to the rest of Foothill Division. She leads the club with humor and enthusiasm. This summer she has continued to stay active in divisional events and in her own club events. In events like the recent tri-dcm, Natalie demonstrated one of the core tenets of CKI fellowship. She was actively engaging in conversations with individuals she didn’t know and overall really went out of her comfort zone to meet new people. Natalie truly exemplifies what it means to have spicy spirit for CKI! She truly deserves this recognition! Let’s give a hand to our artsy member of the month!
Fun Fact: She is very artsy.
Stayed tuned for next week as we recognize three members from the southern divisions AND August nominations will open!
