MR Mondays: Week 2, November 2019
November 11, 2019
Good Afternoon Sunny CNH!
It’s 11/11! Welcome to the second week of November! If you attended Fall Training Conference, I hope you have finally been able to catch up on some much needed rest. This week, we will be recognizing members from the central divisions for having made an impact on their home club since joining!
🐢Central Coast Division🐢
Jon Puno, Moorpark College
Jon Puno is currently a general member at Moorpark College who is frequently active in his home club! This is Jon’s first year at Moorpark College, and he takes initiative within the club! He shows this by attending the majority of service events and general meetings, while also taking initiative to run for the Treasurer position within his home club! At all events, John is said to always brings a positive disposition, making him a joy to work with! In addition Jon is also one of the hardest working members always taking initiative to make the most of his time as a volunteer! As a division, we are very proud of Jon and all of his work so far in our division!
Fun Fact: Jon is a biology major and has previously volunteered in the Emergency Room at Saint John’s PV Hospital!
🌵Desert Oasis Division🌵
Jonathan Guan, UC Riverside
Jonathan had joined this past month per recommendation of his family friend, Wayne Cheng, and has been slowly getting more involved with our club. He has attended many of the big & little socials, as well as a few services. After attending Fall Training Conference, Jonathan has been more motivated to participate in the club and we look forward to seeing him at more events!
Fun Fact: Jonathan has been playing trombone for 7 years.
🔥Foothill Division🔥
Skyler Palma, Mt. San Antonio College
Skyler has made an extremely big impact on her club ever since joining. She has not only added value to her club by always bringing over the good vibes, she has also stepped up in her home club by becoming the Historian for A-board. Mt. SAC is super lucky to have Skyler in their club as she always brings the positivity to every meeting, event and CKI function. Just knowing Skyler, you get a taste of the potential she has in CKI and she is not afraid of going out of her comfort zone and really putting herself in outgoing/social environments. Foothill as a whole is so lucky to have such an active, dedicated and extroverted member! We are super excited to have her within our club, division and community.
Fun Fact: Skyler has dimples!
Thank you all for tuning in and see you all next week when we spotlight the southern divisions and keep your eyes out for the nomination form for December MR Mondays!
