Good Afternoon Sunny CNH!

It’s Monday again! You know what that means? More Member Recognition Mondays! This week, we’re recognizing the southern divisions of Citrus, Metro, and Paradise. Scroll down to see who has been selected and what was said about them.

🍊Citrus Division🍊
Edward Bernal, UC Irvine

Edward has been a key component in creating a positive environment for Cypress College. Just his presence at CKI events creates a more positive attitude. Despite acting so wacky at times, his personality is very gravitating. He has personally made Cypress College CKI so inviting. Edward would strike up conversations with new members and make them feel included. He constantly attends Cypress’ weekly social event “Banh Mi Mondays” and would encourage other members to go. Cypress would not be where it would be without Edward.
Fun Fact: Edward is transferring to UCI in the fall! (Make sure to welcome him with open arms @UCI)

🚊Metro Division🚊
Ivan Medina, El Camino College

Ivan has been hard at work to make sure his club has the most successful Fall season yet! Although not originally a board officer, he decided to step up and take on the position of Treasurer for his home club when they needed it most. Ivan is always bringing a positive attitude to events and will always offer a high-five or handshake to any new member he sees. The amount he has grown since he first joined the club is astonishing and he is only developing his skills even further as the term progresses. His passion is definitely being noticed by not only his home club but also the division as well. We all appreciate his dedication and look forward to all of the milestones he will reach in the future. Great work Ivan!
Fun Fact: Ivan likes a show called Kamen Rider. He has every single spider-man movie ever released on a shelf in his room.

🍍Paradise Division🍍
Darlene Corpuz, San Diego State University

Darlene is a warm and welcoming person in every situation you meet her. Before transferring to SDSU she went to Grossmont and was in Circle K there as well. During GBM, at both Grossmont and SDSU, she brings lots of positive energy, talking to other members and engaging in conversation. She actively participates during club meetings whether it be during activities such as ice breakers and games. Although the school year has just started, Darlene will surely continue to being positivity and a positive impact to her home club during GBMs, service events, and many others.
Fun Fact: Darlene still believes in pinky promises.
