Hi there!

Welcome to another week of January MR Mondays!  The new year also means the start of a new quarter/semester.  Before we know it, it will be elections season and many clubs will be electing their 2017-2018 officers.  This month, we asked Lt. Governors to spotlight members who have the potential to be future leaders in Circle K and take CKI to new heights in the new year.  This week, we will spotlight members from Magic Kingdom, Metro, and Paradise!  Please read why their Lt. Governors nominated them below:

Magic Kingdom: Quan Vandinh, Orange Coast College

With a soft spoken passion for Circle K, Quan has taken the opportunity to help lead as committee member in his home club. The hunger for leadership and more opportunities to grow makes me believe that he has a promising Circle K future ahead of him.

Metro: Sandy Liang, CSU Northridge

As a freshman, Sandy has already shattered expectations by becoming CSUN Circle K’s Kiwanis Family Chair. Ambitious and driven, she is currently organizing the club’s first ever Key to College, which will be held in March. Sandy’s enthusiasm and natural leadership continue to inspire new and old members to pursue their goals.

Paradise: Jakob Woo-Ming, CSU San Marcos

Jakob has often operated behind the scenes and it’s time he knows how much people value what he does. He has grown so much into becoming the leader he is today and this is only his second year in CKI! I see Jakob continuing to develop his confidence and discover his leadership style. He definitely has the potential to take on the higher level opportunities for leadership that Circle K offers.

Thank you to these members for their dedication to Circle K!  You are truly special and help make Circle K a worthwhile experience for those around you.  We cannot wait to see what the future has in store for your Circle K journey.  Make sure to go to the Facebook post and let them know how great they are!  While you’re at it, tag a member from these divisions who stands out for their leadership and charisma.  Let us know why they inspire you and check in next week when we spotlight December Members of the Month from across the district!

With Love,

The 2016-2017 District Member Recognition Committee
