DISTRICT FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE LEADS CAL-NEV-HA IN EVENT FOR PEDIATRIC TRAUMA

AMERICAN CANYON, California; October 25th, 2015 –– Circle K International’s Cal-Nev-Ha District Finance and Fundraising Committee has prepared an annual event called Crazy Kompetition for Infants in order to raise money for the Pediatric Trauma Program. Crazy Kompetition for Infants involves fun, competitive minigames and relays and will take place on Sunday, October 25th from 8 AM to 5 PM at Community Park in American Canyon, CA.

The 2015-2016 District Finance and Fundraising Committee is led by the 2015-2016 District Treasurer Victoria Ortiz, a third year student at the University of California, San Diego. Members of Circle K International donate money in order to participate in teams to complete in the relay events. This event facilitates bonding between teams of six Circle K members as they work together and compete with each other for the chance to become Crazy Komp Champions. Ultimately, this event aims to not only fundraise for Pediatric Trauma Program, but also to bring awareness to Circle K members on how to prevent incidences of pediatric trauma.

Ortiz states, “I’m really excited for Crazy Kompetition this year. The committee and chairs have worked very hard in preparation for the event. I hope everyone that comes out is able to have fun and bond with each other.”
