Good Afternoon Sunny CNH!

It’s the end of September and we have reached the conclusion of this month’s edition of Member Recognition Mondays! We’re wrapping up this month with the August Member of the Month where the individuals from all nine of our divisions will be spotlighted for embodying all three tenets!

Congratulations to…

🦅Capital Division🦅

Karishma Sira, UC Davis

With the uncertainty of the upcoming fall term, Karishma has done an amazing job with creating a working space for our club’s annual, Children Halloween Party (CHI-HA-PA) by staying extremely organized and accessible to all members who choose to participate in helping to prepare. She’s utilized spaces such as Slack and Google Drive to keep all documents and meeting notes accessible as well as been easy to reach out to via Slack and Facebook Messenger. Additionally, she is going to serve on District Service committee and hosted a workshop for clubs if they need help in creating service opportunities for the upcoming fall term! Overall, she’s been super active with coming up with new service ideas/opportunities for the club and has been a really great individual to work with!!

🐢Central Coast Division🐢

Melanya Tiratsuyan, Cal Lutheran

Melanya is an incredible President for Cal Lutheran CKI and has put her all in building her club up. She has innovative ideas and is never afraid to put herself out there and meet new people. Her work ethic and fun personality is admirable and she is an integral part of Central Coast!

🍊Citrus Division🍊

Hayden Poulain, UC Irvine

Hayden joined in the spring since the start of the pandemic and despite that, he’s been one of the most active and engaging general members! He instantly took the time to get to know other members of the club and commit himself to our activities by participating in multiple club committees and coming to a bunch of events. His wittiness and detailed puns also are able to light up the room, and he’s honestly a joy to be around!

🌵Desert Oasis Division🌵

Jamie Ly, UC Riverside

Jamie has been an amazing president ever since day one! She works so hard for her club and members, and I’m super excited to see her club flourish this upcoming term. I hope she knows how appreciated she is! <33

🔥Foothill Division🔥

Maysa Barakat, Pasadena City College

Over the course of summer, Maysa has adapted and gotten comfortable in her role as PCC CKI’s Spirit & Social Chair by chairing a multitude of her own services and socials, including, but not limited to, Cranes for a Cure, Home Scavenger Hunt, and Pop Trivia Night. Through these experiences, she has not only become a fun and familiar face within CNH, but she has also learned tips and tricks for her own future reference. Always full of excitement and ideas, Maysa has built herself a strong foundation going into the upcoming fall semester. Keep up the great work!

🌉Golden Gate Division🌉

Joanne Cabanlit, CSU East Bay

Joanne is both an officer for her home club as VPA along with being Golden Gate’s Divisional MD&E chair, and she has shown great feats in all three tenets. Joanne is a very peppy individual, meaning she brings the life to the party with socials around the Division and especially her home club! She attends as many Circle K events as possible, especially service projects hosted by our division and other clubs within Golden Gate. Most importantly, she really exemplifies leadership with her dedication to both positions on club and divisional levels. Overall, Joanne really loves to put herself out there and give her 110% whenever possible, even if it cuts into her bedtime!

🚊Metro Division🚊

Alex Caceros, El Camino College

He is a brand new president who has stepped into his position because of a vacancy in the position of President. He also has to fill vacancies in VPA and VPS. He has hit the ground running and has held general meetings, club events, and board meetings! This is big for ECC as this hasn’t happened in a couple of months!

🍍Paradise Division🍍

Justin Luc, UC San Diego

Justin has maintained his strong inter-clubbing efforts. The continuation in nurturing these inter-club relationships establishes a stronger presence for UC San Diego on the district level. His inter-clubbing prowess and efforts combined provides UC San Diego Circle K a foundation of good relationships with Circle Ks across the district that will continue running strong when Fall quarter comes around.

🌅Sunset Division🌅

Erik Bach, Foothill College

Been super active on the Divisional and District level, trying to bridge the gap for our members. Has planned many events over recent months, both as part of club and division.

We also got the nomination form for the October MR Mondays! Next month, we’ll be spotlighting members who have emphasized recruitment within their home club for this upcoming school year and created a welcoming environment for new members.
