Members of the Month - March 2008
UCLA Jonathan Lin – One of our newly active members has definitely shown us what Circle K is all about. Jonathan participated in Dance Marathon, Transitional Turning Point, and our Winter Quarter Potluck! Genni Low – Our final member of the quarter, and the only young lady to receive it! The board has no trouble determining Ms. Low as the MOQ. She has taken the reigns on one of our club’s largest fundraisers to date, Pillow Fight 2008 (dot com). Her contributions to the club this quarter has been phenomenal! UNR The member of the month for March is Alex Kieu. She has gone above the average member in her attempts to fundraise for Relay for Life. Thanks to her efforts we have been able to get more donations for our first annual poker tournament. USC Our Member of the Month is Mandi Paszek because she is an awesome President, and we really appreciate all of her hard work that she puts into Circle K! CSU Fullerton Daniel Ha current social chair in our club and now LTG for magic kingdom. He has been an outstanding member in our club from bringing new cheers, socials after our meetings and going out to service projects. CSU DH La Donna Martin is just awesome because although she barely met the rest of the members due to conflicting schedules, she has continued to be one of the most active members who helps me with publication of our club which has brought in a lot of new member interest! CSU East Bay The member of the month is Michael Youk. He has showed extreme dedication in a few months. He is our spirit chair and has dedicated a lot of time to create spirit wear and do more activities for the club. De Anza Lester Villaspir, despite his size, Lester helps out a lot. He is willing to go the extra yard to be an example of what a De Anza Circle Ker is all about. Although Lester just became a CKI member this year at De Anza, he was willing to show his abilities to lead. The Circle Kers at De Anza recognizes Lester’s potential to lead voted him to become ’08-’09 Service Vice President. UC Davis Julien Lecuyer. This member put in a lot of effort into helping out scrapbook chair, Victoria. He also voluntarily makes our newsletter for our club. He attended spaghetti feed as well as donated money. He is a great addition to the club because he makes meetings entertaining by stealing the president’s gavel. His presence boosts club spirit. UCB Monica Bayya Monica has been an active member this entire year! This past week she attended several committee meetings. She also spent countless hours practicing and filming for the District Convention Talent Show. She networked with Kiwanians at the Kiwanis Mid-Year and then supported CSU East Bay by cheering loudly at the Chartering Banquet. To sum up a great week, Monica went to the Annual Family Picnic to show some fellowship! Thanks for your hard work Monica!! UNLV Julia Tokuhama – Julia has been a very active member from the time she joined. This month she spent a massive amount of time organizing and delegating her scrapbook committee to make sure that our scrapbook turned out to be the best it could be. She worked hard and made sure that everything went as planned and in the end she produced an awesome scrapbook. JULIA ROCKS! |
