Service Spotlight

What is Service Spotlight?
The Service Spotlight is a bimonthly display of information on a certain service organization that the district has chosen to highlight to help promote and educate members about its cause.

Service Spotlight - January & February

Best Buddies is an organization aimed at helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing resources and outlets for these individuals. One of their programs includes building a supportive friendship with their clients and someone in the same career field that the client is interested in. The friendships that are formed through Best Buddies have a lastly impression and benefit both parties involved. Best Buddies has become very successful at bringing volunteers and peoples with disabilities together and creating the perfect support system and extra help for their clients. Volunteering with Best Buddies would be supporting our District Service Initiative, Special Help for Special Needs. There are Best Buddies programs in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Follow the links below to find out more about this great organization and ways your club can get involved.
