Hi Golden Gate Guardians & Friends!

May DSP: Kiwanis Special Games

May was a incredibly exciting month for our division ! On May 18th, Golden Gate participated in a major Kiwanis Family event hosted by the Kiwanis Divisions 12 & 34, called the Kiwanis Special Games as our Divisional Service Project. The Kiwanis Special Games is an annual field day hosted for children with special needs and disabilities. Our Circle K volunteers helped set up the track field, led groups of children with the games, cheered the athletes on, and broke down the event at the end of the day! After the event, the generous Kiwanians had a pizza party for all the volunteers. We were also joined by the Sunset Division and other Kiwanis Family organizations, such as Key Club and Kiwanis!

May DCM: Picnic at Dolores Park

On May 26th, Golden Gate Guardians convened at the iconic Dolores Park of San Francisco for our May Divisional Council Meeting (DCM). Members from our various schools joined us for great food, amazing views of San Francisco at the park, and recreational activities such as frisbee, tennis, card games, and more! At 2PM, we started our divisional council meeting to hear what all the clubs have been up to, went over updates, and also announced our June DCM plans with Sunset Division!  You can find the meeting minutes for this DCM here.

In addition, you can also find our recap video here, made by our lovely co-Media & Communications Chair, Ellen Chang!

See you at our next divisional event, Golden Guardians!

Love,

Alan Kwok
