We've reached the last week of October Member Recognition Mondays! This week, we are showcasing the following individuals who stood out to their Lt. Governors for their selfless display of service, leadership, and fellowship. Catch you all next month when we spotlight new members who stand out for their involvement in Circle K.

Capital: Nicayo Ramos, Sacramento City College

Nicayo has worked so hard to charter Sacramento City College in recruiting a board and members and instilling Circle K pride in them! He has grown so much from the time I have met him and I can’t imagine Capital without his impact!

Central Coast: Emily La, UC Santa Barbara

Emily has gone above and beyond for her home club, hosting many service events and even facilitating the first interclub ever between UCSB and Cal Poly SLO! Her hard work for her home club and for the District Service Committee is really amazing to see.

Desert Oasis: Terrie Truong, UN Las Vegas

Terrie is UNLV Circle K's Year-In-Review Chair and she has been great not only in her position, but overall as a club member as well. Terrie is seen at a bunch of the club's service events and has even chaired many of them! Through her positive and friendly attitude she is welcoming to all members, both new and old. If you happen to see UNLV at a district or division event, be sure to look out for Terrie and say hello!

Foothill: Lauren Au, Claremont College

Lauren Au demonstrates endless devotion toward Circle K International through her love and eagerness towards taking leadership. She continually builds bonds with all of the division by spreading a vibrant loving presence through her cherishing intentions. Recently, Lauren has taken all opportunities to represent her club, division, and district helping her develop as a loving friend and tenacious leader!

Golden Gate: Ian Chang, Diablo Valley College

Ian is always helping out the club when he can. He has recently taken on the role as Secretary and he is very hardworking and friendly at service events.

Magic Kingdom: Simon Nguyen, CSU Fullerton

Simon has been able to spread his love for service with his fellow members at CSUF and also helps out by attending multiple service projects. Overtime, he has increasingly attended projects, and also was able to chair an event for his club!

Metro: Derek Jou, University of Southern California

Derek has stepped up this month in all three tenets of Circle K. He was able to order club T-shirts early enough so that they came in time for the first general meeting of the year. He was also one of the three people in charge of the CKI table at the Involvement Fair this semester and co-chaired the first major service event of the semester. He attended every social, which allowed him to reach out to new members. Overall, he has had perfect attendance at CKI events so far and has proven to be an integral member over the course of the year so far.

Paradise: Lucy Brunswick, San Diego State

Lucy has helped organize SDSU CKI's fall semester rush week events, planned months in advance for our new member install and new member retreat, all while having one of the highest attendances to events. Her contribution while unnoticed by many would not have given SDSU Circle K the strong start it needed for member recruitment this year.

Sunset: Mike Beneschan, UC Santa Cruz

Mike actually serves as President for UCSC Circle K! He has been setting a good example for his board and has been attending events over the summer when he can.
