Good Afternoon Sunny CNH! ☀️

We’ve reached the second to last week of Member Recognition Mondays for the term! Continuing on with the prompt of the month, we have more individuals to spotlight for being a supportive figure to their surroundings. Please join me in congratulating them!

🦅Capital Division🦅
Willie La, UC Davis

Willie currently serves as the Service Vice President at UC Davis. He has been a huge support for all his members by constantly providing service events, and advertising them in the most hilarious ways, specifically any of his posts regarding their weekly Chow Night! Not only is Willie highly present at the club level, he was a huge support in putting together the Capital Division spirit packs for Fall Training Conference, which gave the most memorable and unique experience to all of the division’s members.
Fun Fact: On days before service events, Willie will stay up until 6AM watching anime!

🐢Central Coast Division🐢
Xochitl Lopez, Cal Lutheran University

Xochitl Lopez is the Circle K President at California Lutheran University. She has been working non-stop this term and deserves some recognition for it! Dedicated to her role as President, she has been consistent in planning and attending Circle K meetings and events despite a job and busy school schedule. She is always there for her club members when they need her. Xochitl is a stable presence in the club and continues to inspire her members to serve with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
Fun Fact: Xochitl is a huge BTS stan!

🍊Citrus Division🍊
Lyly Nguyen, Orange Coast College

Lyly is the type of person to reach out to new people and keep in touch with them. She’s very responsive and reliable, constantly checking up to see how you’re doing which is the type of person that we all need in our lives. She is someone to look up to, inspiring others around her to do the same.
Fun Fact: She has three siblings! They’re triplets: two boys and one girl.

🌵Desert Oasis Division🌵
Aviel Geronimo, UN Las Vegas

Aviel is an actual hype man. He’s always so energetic and knows how to get people’s spirits up. During our divisional events, Aviel is always checking up on different DLT and board members, as well as his own, to make sure that everyone is doing okay and if they need anything. Likewise, Aviel is always encouraging others to break out of their comfort zones and to better themselves.
Fun Fact: Aviel is in a church choir.

🔥Foothill Division🔥
Jenny Koug, Pasadena City College

Jenny has a very enthusiastic characteristic. Whenever Jenny is at a district event, she always makes an effort to meet new members and speak to those she has already met. She also helps other general members from PCC who may not be as extraverted to meet other members from across the district. Jenny also shares her passion for Circle K with others by taking on leadership positions on FTC committee and Foothill DLT.
Fun Fact: Jenny does not like boba, but works at a boba shop

🌉Golden Gate Division🌉
Pamela Zurita, Santa Rosa Junior College

Pamela has been an active member since she joined CKI. She has been present at all events so far and is always happy to be working with others. We really appreciate her as a leader and always enjoy her company.
Fun Fact: Pamela enjoys going on hikes!

🚊Metro Division🚊
Callie Truong, University of Southern California

Callie has been a great support system for her club, DLT, and the rest of the Metro division. Her dedication to meeting new members and creating interactive events has been essential for making Metro grow. She has been an absolutely amazing Special Events chair and we are excited to what else she has in store for the rest of her term.
Fun Fact: Callie is from Ohio and loves the Museum of Rock and Roll!

🍍Paradise Division🍍
Kristian Kim, UH Manoa

As President of his home club, Kristian is a foundation for his club. Due to the distance between San Diego and Hawaii, Kristian has always been reliable in relaying club and officer information to the rest of San Diego. As the only person from Hawaii to attend Fall Training Conference, he has brought back what he’s learned to UH Manoa and utilized the skills he’s learned. He is currently encouraging members of UH Manoa to attend District Convention to gain the same experience and knowledge he has had from attending District events. He not only is a support to his home club, but to the rest of the division as well.
Fun Fact: Kristian attended his first (and unfortunately last) FTC this term.

🌅Sunset Division🌅
Matthew Holt, De Anza College

Whether it’s on the club or divisional level, Matt is a friendly face always ready to ask anyone in CKI how they are doing. With just one conversation with him, you’ll be able to see how much he genuinely cares about his fellow board, club and Sunset members. It doesn’t matter if it’s something involving Circle K, school or on a personal level, Matt has your back through it all! I mean, can you expect any less from De Anza’s very own hokage?
Fun Fact: Matthew is the hokage of De Anza College.
